1. Abortive—adjective failing to succeed; unsuccessful: an abortive rebellion; an abortive scheme.

2. Teutonic- adjective of or pertaining to the ancient Teutons.

3. Contour- noun the outline of a figure or body; the edge or line that defines or bounds a shape or object.

4. supercilious- adj. Feeling or showing haughty disdain.
5. tenor—noun the course of thought or meaning that runs through something written or spoken; purport; drift.

6. languid- adjective lacking in vigor or vitality; slack or slow: a languid manner.

7. complacent- –adjective pleased, esp. with oneself or one’s merits, advantages, situation, etc., often without awareness of some potential danger or defect; self-satisfied: The voters are too complacent to change the government.
